Norwich City V 1 Broadland II 2 A delighted Broadland won their first game of the season against close rivals Norwich City V. Broadland struck first through Elle Couzins just before the break having had some good opportunities early on. The Broadland defence kept their resolve and with a vice like grip stubbornly resisted City’s efforts until midway through the second half when Dani Parke was beaten by a deflected effort which looped over her head and into the net. Broadland regained their grip on the game with a second goal from a slick attacking involving several players and a strong finish from Alishia Alexander. Broadland dug their heels, and determined not concede another goal, their star player winger Kerry Payne came back to make some good defensive tackles and clearances.
