| Match Report | ·Saturday 4thFebruary 2023 East Women’s Hockey League Division 3 North East North Broadland II 3 Evergreens 0 The game was only a few minutes old when the first contentious point of a very contentious game materialised with both teams and the umpires questioning every decision given. Evergreens supported by a vociferous group of supporters looked strong but the resurgent Broadland II match them in every department and took the lead through a well struck penalty corner from Danni Garwood before half time. Evenly matched, both teams battled it out in midfield but it was Broadland who began to pull away, again through a Danni Garwood penalty corner which took a deflection of a defender’s stick wrong footing the visitor’s keeper. Evergreens fought tooth and claw to get back into the game but again Broadland took their opportunities and sealed the game with a third Danni Garwood penalty corner strike. Broadland’s Kerry Paine made a number of penetrating runs and was a constant thorn in the Evergreens side was deservedly their star player.
