Match Report | Saturday 4thFebruary 2023 East Women’s Hockey League Division 5 North East North Carrow II 4 Broadland III 0 Broadland 3s took to the pitch today against Carrow 2s raring to go but struggled to settle in the first half. With a number of regular players missing or returning from injuries and struggling to get to grips with a slow pitch, the team went into the break 3-0 down. Lydia Lawrence took up the role of GK for the first time and certainly didn't disappoint, which also allowed Jen Crawford to give some extra legs outfield! The second half got underway to a stronger start with the Broadland team looking more structured and producing some brilliant defensive work only conceding 1 goal in the second half. Carina Carter, stepping out of defence into the central midfield role, had a stormer, earning a very well-deserved player of the match. Great teamwork and fighting spirit on the pitch as always!
