UEA III: 0 Broadland II: 1

Broadland 2s began with a promising start by being on the attack straight away. After several attempts on goal Broadland were rewarded with their first short corner. A clear strike from Danni Garwood was denied after a dubious decision, that the ball had not gone over the keeper’s line when it ricocheted off the post and keeper. Undeterred Broadland won several further short corners before the break but failed to convert. UEA had several attacks, trying to dominate the midfield but failed to get through the solid Broadland defence. In the second half Broadland became slicker with their passes in midfield and had several good attempts on goal but were kept out by a good performance from the UEA keeper. The only goal of the game came from a decisive short corner when the ball was slipped between players with Danni G finding the back of the net she had been looking for. Star player rightly went to Emma Chambers, playing her first time in left back, a position she slotted straight into. Broadland 2s now move out of the danger zone by a point and look to continue their climb up the table to where they should be.   Report by Tamsin Highfield
