Norwich City  IV   1     Broadland II   4

A determined Broadland, out to seek revenge for their earlier defeat by Norwich City IV earlier in the season, got off to a flyer through Alishia Alexander who had presence of mind to intercept and fire home with some certainty a wayward Broadland attempt from a colleague.  Kerry Payne advancing at pace down the right placed the ball into the mix in front of the City goal.  Kelly Holman, coming in from the left was perfectly placed to crack the ball in for Broadland’s second goal.  City 4, realising they had a game on their hands pulled a goal back through a penalty corner strike but then threw it away when their midfield failed to get a grip with Danni Garwood’s  hit-outs, one of which set up Dani Parke.  Dani in her natural position, thanks to Jen Crawford stepping down to play in goal, bamboozled the last defender and fired in Broadland’s third goal past the exposed City keeper.  Danni was then gifted a second goal, Broadlands’s fourth when she intercepted a City side line hit and advanced again, and stroked the ball confidently past the advancing and hapless keeper.  Leading comfortably at the break and knowing a City fightback would be on the cards Broadland stiffened their resolve with Danni Garwood magnificent in breaking up City attacks and of the few that got past her Broadland’s star player Emma Goldsmith was on hand to clear up and relieve the Broadland defence with some tidy tackles and clearances.
