| Match Report | East Men’s Hockey League Saturday 11th March 2023 Division 3 North East Ipswich and East Suffolk II 0 Broadland Exiles 3 Exiles captain Sam Brewster’s break away goal was all that separated the two sides at half time. IES dominated possession and had a numerous penalty corner opportunities, but the Exiles defence was on top of its game with James Edwards Scott their goalkeeper in magnificent form, denying the home side an equalizer time and time again. A swift counter attack from the Exiles midway through the second period saw Sam Brewster again racing through and to easily beat the IES keeper as he came out to challenge. Now leading by two goals, a very determined Exiles held firm as the home side bombarded the visitor’s goal and as the final whistle was about to be blown Exiles again caught IES with a swift and decisive counterattack with Sam Brewster grabbing a third goal to complete a hat trick |
