Match Report | East Women’s Hockey League Division 5 North East (North) Broadland III 0 Beccles 3 2nd placed Beccles got off to a flying start with a goal after a couple of minutes and doubled their lead almost immediately through their impressive forward who outpaced and tormented the Broadland rear-guard for most of the game. Broadland rallied after these setbacks but struggled to get into any sought of a rhythm and conceded again just before half time. After a rousing half time pep talk from their captain, Broadland set about restoring some pride, stubbornly preventing Beccles from mounting any really dangerous attempts on their goal and set-up some counter attacks of their own which might have been successful, but they were in the main ,over cooked by the Broadland defence, making their forwards, optimistically chase lost causes. Towards the end of the game, for what ever reason Beccles had a resurgence and might have increased their lead but for some wonderful saves by Dani Parke in the Broadland goal.
