Broadland II 2 Norwich Dragons IV 1 Dragons IV took the lead in the early stages of this important game and looked to be on course for an away win after scoring early on. Despite this set back Broadland held their heads up high and began to work together to set up numerous attacks that pinned Dragons into their own half. A long corner midway through the first half was picked up by Broadland’s star player Alishia Alexander, her first attempt on goal being returned to her by the Dragon’s keeper. Alishia making no mistake powered home the rebound for a Broadland equalizer. Broadland, now buzzing quickly doubled their lead through Dani Parke who with some great skill and danger to herself lifted the ball across the Dragon’s keeper and high into the net. The 2nd half started with a very determined Dragons seeking opportunities to get back in to the game, but Broadland remained firm in their resolve with their midfield and defence magnificently reducing Dragons attempts on their goal. Broadland kept Dragon’s on their toes through-out the second half, as Broadland’s Lydia Cross penetrating runs down the right reminded them that they still had to defend. All in all, a great result and performance.
