Match Report | Saturday 18th March 2023 East Men’s Hockey League Division 3 North East Broadland Exiles 1 Norwich Dragons IV 2 Mid-table Norwich Dragons IV and Broadland Exiles played a very competitive but well spirited match at Taverham. Dragons scored midway through the first half with a series of deflections which gave James Edwards Scott, the Exiles goalkeeper, very little opportunity to get a hand to the ball which looped into the back of the net. Dragons, leading by the one goal, went further ahead soon after half time, when through some good teamwork, one of their forwards found himself in space in the centre of the home team’s circle. A strong finish easily beat the Exiles keeper. Exiles kept their spirits high and taking all the opportunities pulled a goal back when their leading scorer and captain Sam Brewster found the back of the visitors net with a bullet of a penalty corner strike that gave the Dragon’s keeper no chance to make a save. |
